Delivering the Countryside to the Classroom
The Newbury & District Agricultural Society pride itself on delivering fun, hands-on learning events and activities focused on food, farming and the countryside to children across Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, East Wiltshire and North Hampshire. Workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of the school setting.

The award winning* educational programme helps with meeting the Society’s charitable aims, by engaging children in the countryside and boosting their knowledge of the British farming industry, by educating them of the origins of food, its production and how everyone can benefit from home grown produce.

The education programme is offered to schools in our catchment area free or charge, and gets booked up very quickly! To avoid disappointment contact our education officer today on education@nadas.co.uk for more information.

*The Society has been awarded a Business Ambassador Award, given by the Education Business Partnership at West Berkshire Council. This recognises businesses, individuals and organisations who give their time and expertise to support students to develop aspirations and employability. Education at the society was shortlisted in the national Bayer/FACE awards category for ‘Inspiring Educator’ in 2015 and 2017. In 2019, the Society was ‘Highly Commended’ for the Bayer/LEAF award – Primary School Partnership.
