Conveniently located next to the junction 13 M4/A34 interchange, Newbury Showground is the ideal venue for outdoor and indoor events.
As a registered charity, the Society now offers Showground hire/let opportunities for a number of events throughout the year. All net income raised from these events goes towards maintaining the charity and its programmes.
The Newbury & District Agricultural Society was established in 1909 and originally organised a horse show, which quickly turned into an agricultural show. Newbury Show had been hosted at many locations across West Berkshire including Cross in Thatcham and Shaw, but finally settled at the Newbury Showground when the Society purchased the land in 1984.
Spread over 150 acres, our largest events accommodate up to 50 temporary structures, 1,000 sheep, 600 horses, five horse arenas, 400 cattle, a 140m craft marquee, a 75m pig marquee, over 400 stewards, 460 trade stands, eight car parks and much more.
With over 50,000 visitors attending over two days annually, the Show has been widely regarded as one of the top agricultural shows in the country.
